Georgia McBride Media Group is home of Month9Books, Swoon Romance, and Tantrum Books. Georgia founded the #YAlitchat hashtag and weekly chat on Twitter in 2009. There, she hosted many notable authors such as Cassandra Clare, Alyson Noel, Corey Whaley, Kody Keplinger, Marie Liu, Ellen Hopkins, and more. She has used her experience launching brands in the music business, licensing music to film and TV, launching new technology products, and marketing and product development to build the Georgia McBride Media Group brand. 

 

Georgia is one of Publishers Marketplace’s most prolific editors, and has spent most of 2014 through 2019 atop the editors lists in Editors, Young Adult, Digital New Adult, Children's, and Digital deals. She’s completed over 255 publishing, audiobook, and film/TV deals on behalf of three imprints since 2012. She's an editorial literary agent, a film/TV writer and producer, and a novelist published under her name and a pen name. Georgia often consults for other publishers, agents, and publishing-adjacent companies.

 

Georgia McBride Media Group imprints publish debut authors as well as USA Today and New York Times bestselling authors such as Alisa Valdes, Charlie Lovett, and Diane Alberts, as well as short stories by Nancy Holder, Sayantani DasGupta, Gretchen McNeil, and other notable authors. Georgia's list includes multiple Emmy Award winners, Bram Stoker, Prism Award and Kirkus Prize nominees, game designers, screenwriters, and artists.

Additionally, our titles have been sold internationally to Harlequin Australia, Penguin Australia, and Piatkus (Little, Brown UK), as well as to China, Greece, Czech Republic, Slovakia, France, and Turkey.

 

Our books are represented at the Bologna, Frankfurt, and London book fairs, and have a regular presence at Book Expo America, Book Con, American Library Association, and Romantic Times Book Lovers Convention.

In 2020, Inkitt contracted Georgia to bring her expertise in rights management, content acquisition and development, editorial, and licensing to create a world-class publishing program for their Galatea mobile reading app. While there, Georgia formulated the strategic vision for the content business, hired and mentored a team to deliver upon that vision, and sourced and negotiated 300+ deals with content creators from around the world -- improving the subscription value for users, increasing engagement, and lowering the cost of content development all while improving the quality of the content library. 

In 2022, Georgia McBride Media Group announced a new literary management service for select clients. On the film/TV production side, Georgia has 2 shows in various stages of development.
